About the Captain
My name is Captain Jim Albert, a U.S. Merchant Marine Officer & U.S. Navy Veteran. I currently hold a 100-ton U.S.C.G. Master Captain’s license and am fully insurance. I moved to Naples in 2005 to begin my quest to become a “for-hire” boat captain serving private and commercial boat owners, renters, dealers and marinas in Southwest Florida. After two years of classroom, testing and on-water preparation, I became a licensed Captain aboard the sightseeing vessel, Naples Princess in 2008 and retired from the Princess in 2016 after 3,375 trips and officiating 44 weddings.
In Jan. 2011, I started Naples Boat Charters offering personalized, private boat charters for up to SIX (6) PEOPLE! PLEASE don’t ask me to take more than six. I can’t! US Coast Guard rules!

Award – In 2014, I was awarded the Governor’s "Veterans Service Award" Medal by Florida Governor Rick Scott (R) and a U.S. Navy veteran.
Award – In 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017, I was voted “Favorite Boat Captain” by the readers of the Naples Daily Newspaper and, after five years, I've taken my name out of consideration.
